Today at St. Mark’s I had science and art. In science we planted our Amaryllis’s. We got a little thing where Mr. Dillon put the dirt in. Then we put the seedlings in the hole that we made by the popsicle stick. We got to bring it home today. In art we cleared the part where Mrs. Davis put the dinosaurs and the bones and fossils. We put the dirt in the trash and the green stuff away in the box. Then we got the rocks and put them outside. The flat ones went with the other flat ones that made the path to the nurses office from the circle. The flat rocks were the rocks that had flat top and bottoms. Well pretty flat. Pretty good. We also put the rounded rocks with the other rounded rocks. It’s the place where the shade is under the trees near the circle or right or no right next to the circle. Today at St. Mark’s I had spanish, art, and drama. In art we used a type of markers to design some lions. 1B did some. So our class did the other side of what 1B did. We are going to give those lions to another school with little kids. I don’t know how and I don’t know if first grade at St. Mark’s is going to. That’s just what Mrs. Davis said. I think. She also gave us an art thing that’s taped inside something. Same with spanish. In drama we did puppet shows. Jack, Lee, Charlie, Sioux, James, and Willie all did a regular drama show. But I did a show where you cut paper, punch a hole, pt a brad through and stratch it out, and make something. I was the giant in Austins group. It was him, me, Benjamin, and Tristan. Alexander and Adams group did that and the hand puppets by himself. His was funny. At homeroom we got a bag from Alex’s mom. Everyone got the same thing. It was a beach towel and our picture we took with our swords out after we got knighted. I think the thing the picture was on could open and there was something inside it. I don’t know. I will wait until I open it.

Today at St. Mark’s I went to the zoo with Surya. I got my zoo shirt. We went to see the elephants, giraffes, and many other animals at the zoo. There were no zebras at the zoo. I got to feed the giraffes. I went into the Herbitarium. I would say the Herbitarium is similar to an I spy thing because you have to find a bunch of animals. I did it with Lee the seniors helped us on tough ones. Some of them were cool. I think 2 or 3 had a very long tail. We had lunch there. I had fruit, chicken nuggets, chips, water of course, and a sandwich is what they call it. It looks more like a chickenburger or something like that. I don’t know. We went to see the dinosaurs. They were not real but their arms, tails, and heads moved. They alos even made sounds. We also went on the carousel at the end. I went on two times. The second time some seniors were riding. Surya was standing right next to me. I liked today!!!!

Today is Sunday. I have no school. I hope we have at least pancakes today for breakfast because yesterday we had waffles but no pancakes. Today at 12:00 to 4:00, Brett, Craig, my baseball team, and I think mommy because she is driving us there. We will get to have no nap. Tommorrow I will go to the zoo with my senior buddy which is Surya. Last Friday Henry Estes who is Willies senior buddy came in and said that that day was the last day of classes for the seniors. Yesterday i played two baseball games. The first game we won 6 to 0. That’s what my coach said. The second game was short because it started raining. But we lost 7 to 5. It was only three innings. The next team to bat was our team. We at least could’ve tied the game up. WE went in the pool two times yesterday. One before my two games and again after my games.

Today is the weekend so I stay home and I have no school. Mommy is making pancakes and waffles. I helped her a little bit and Brett helped her a little bit. I asked daddy to come down to make oatmeal. I wonder what egg we are having today. It is probably Scrambled eggs because that is what he always makes. But if he asks us I am definitely going to say Sunny-Side-Up eggs because we haven’t had those in a long time. Right now I am doing writing. I write on the computer and I write at least five lines. Today and tommorrow I do weekend work which is drawing, piano, writing, and reading. I already did reading, piano, and now I am doing writing. I just have to do drawing and dancing game wih Brett. Dancing game is not part of my work but it is for Brett. I just do it with him since it is better when we do Versus and Versus needs two people.

Today at St. Mark’s I had Blue and Gold day. First we got our yearbooks the way we signed them was to just write our name. We could go out of the classroom and sign teachers yearbooks and they could sign ours. At 8:30 we all came back inside and signed each others. We could go in Mrs. Brooms class and sign her students yearbooks. Nathan got almost every single person. Then we had Blue and Gold time. All of squad 1 are together and they are just first and second graders. So the colors are for something like this. So like the dads would say “Red and green over here and yellow and blue over there.” That’s how the colors work. We also played a game where you have this tray and there is a plate with a sandwich, a cup of water, a container of ketchup and an orange on your tray. There are cones set up. What you do is you zig-zag through the cones and back then you give it to your teammate. If your water spills you have to fill it back up. You could also get water. You just press something down and it will squirt water into your mouth. Another game that squad 1 played today is a game where you have to dress up like a Hockaday girl do a hula-hoop two times then you hit your next teammates hand. We played tug of war I think you know that game. We played a game where you have an egg on your spoon and the next person in line has a spoon. When the egg is on your spoon yoou have to go around the cone and back. If you drop the egg the next person with the spoon has to come help you by putting the egg back onto the walkers spoon. Finally, we played a game where there is someone at the front of the line and that person puts a ball from the bucket over their head and a little bit behind which is up and the next person has to take it and put it in between their legs which is down. Then it is just a pattern. Up down. When the person at the end of the line puts the ball in the hula-hoop then that person comes to the front of the line and it starts all over except there is one ball in the hula-hoop. We saw how many balls we could get into the hula-hoop. Then we watched the dads play tug of war. Abels dads team lost both times. I don’t know why. Moms were also there but they dd not play. They just watched. Then we had a cookout. After I threw my plate away I got a popsicle. As soon as I took it out it was so cold there was steam and I saw it.

Today at St. Mark’s I had art and drama. In art I did something where you do one dip in the printing ink then you rub in on the tray one way and then the other way and make a square and then you do the same thing on your stickers that we put on the wooden board last class. The paper that I painted on two classes ago will have you paint that you rubbed on your stickers. So you flip your sticker board over upside down and then you press hard then you take it off and then your picture is on the paper that you painted. In drama both classes came to the drama room and we watched our show that we did because Mr. K was working with the fourth graders for their music show. They have a drama show, a music show, and an art show. In PE we ran one lap around the whole track and then we did jump roping and then we played Supersoccer on the field. The game was hard even though it was very hot. It was a tie. 10 to 10. Wow!!!!

Today at St. Mark’s I had science and library. Daddy wants me to not scratch at school and I did it. In science I made a thank you card to Mr. Broom the same way we wrote cards to Dillans grandfather except it was flight. I wrote “Dear Mr. Broom, Thank you for teaching us about flight. Thank you for” and so on. The way I colored it was I flattened the card so that the back and the front were like one side and then I drew a picture of an airplane in the sky. yesterday I played Chess against Mommy and I stalemated her. That means that she is not in check but she cannot go anywhere with her king. Unless she wants her king to be taken by my knight and my king and the pawn and the king can take her king in one square so the pawn can take something or the pawn won’t be helpful at all. The king was her only piece that was available to move. Both of us did not have a queen.

Today at St. Mark’s I had spanish and drama. In spanish we read a book called the very hungry caterpillar but it was in spanish. Then we did something wear if you had the food you would put it in the caterpillar until it got so fat! In drama we did the Little Red Hen or Taxi the Turtle storys but you could make a backround. my group which is Sioux, Tristan, Benjamin, and me all chose Taxi the turtle and we had a backround. I was the mother Robin and the Baby Robin which are the two Robins. Adams group had a backround where there is this tunnel and one side is closed. I helped Adam put tape across and there were two paper signs. Do not disturb!!! and Do not enter!!! So you could only go in and out on one side. In PE we ran two laps on the track and then we did some jump roping. I am working on my cross-overs.

Today at St. Mark’s I had science and drama. In science we did an activity. We got a CD with a gray thing on it. Then we got a balloon that had no air in it and connected it to the gray thing by putting it over it. Then we would tturn the CD over and blow air into the small hole. When you blow you let go. When you don’t blow you pinch. When it is big enough turn the CD so that the balloon is on the top. Then give it a little push. Now it is hovering. That means that it is not all the way on the ground. It is a little above the ground. We tested it on the table and on the ground. In drama we said plays. We didn’t act it out we said them. My groups story was called The Little Hen. The other groups story was called Taxi the Turtle. You were allowed to use a kind of voice to try to match the character and expression and stuff like that.
