Summary: In this chapter, Evan is doing a marble track when Jessie came in. She looked hot and sweaty. Then, Evan asks why Jessie had been smiling. Then, Evan and Jessie had an arguement about something and then Jessie started going up the stairs and called Evan Grumpminster Fink. Grumpminster Fink was a character from one of Evan’s stories that he used to tell Jessie. Only they knew about him. Evan thought about why Jessie could have been smiling before. Then, he knew. He had told Megan about the bet. He knew that Jessie had reached over $100. He knew that he had to fight back. Then, he went and got prepared.
