Today at St. Mark’s I had computer. In computer we did some games on kahoot. I wasn’t as good as them because I am so used to Gimkit when we have game time like that. Unless it is some other game time or if I can do whatever I want. Usually I do Gimkit when someone says we can and have to play on it. We also chose our animal that we are going to do recearch on. At Armstrong we would do research on an animal and then try to find it at the zoo since we were going to go to the zoo. This year at St. Mark’s we are going to the zoo but I don’t think we will have to try to find our animal there since the animals that the votes were were in the savana. Back to where we were, I chose a zebra Alex and Milton also chose zebra in Mrs. Beacoms class. Three people is the maximum of each animal in both classes. So there are six packets of each animal in all first grade. Three packets in one class and three packets in the other class.

Today is Cinco de Mayo. I had spanish, library, and music. In spanish I told Señora Russo that it is Cinco de Mayo. She tried to find a Cinco de Mayo movie but she couldn’t find one. She didn’t tell us about Cinco de Mayo because she thought it was going to tell you on the video but she just found a Mexico video and we watched that one. In library we read a little more of Scare School but we didn’t finish it. When it was checkout time I couldn’t find a book to check out. So I just watched the kids play Chess. The Staar Wars Chess didn’t have time to play but in the Harry Potter Chess Charlie won but they didn’t finish the game. Benjamin got a lot of checks but since Sioux is so good he helped Benjamin black the checks. I hope you nave a great day at school when you go to school. Please have a wonderful day at school.

Today is May 1. At St. Mark’s I had science and library. In science we watched two videos. The first one was a Bill Nye the Science Guy. It was about air. The second video was about a mini parachute that you can do at home. I forgot how to do it. In library Mrs. Montgomery read us a book called Scare School. We did not get to finish it. There was a funny name in it. He was the cook. His name was Captain Loosebeard. I was sitting next to Willie and the first time he heard that name he, me, and some other kids laghed at that name. In PE we ran one lap on the track and went in through the lions gate to go to the gym. We did some jump roping. We did not get to do anything else. I am working on my cross-overs. We did two minutes. The first minute was the first minute. That was a minute where it is just regular jump rope skips and you are going for a speed. The second minute was where you could do a trick or fancy footwork or something like that. It is called a trick minute.

Today at St. Mark’s I had spanish and music and drama. In music and drama we practiced the hymns that we were going to sing on Friday. One of them was called Love Divine and that one was a pretty hard one but we still did it. After that we watched Sing. We watched a planetarium show. It was all about Dinosaurs. In PE we ran in the Spencer gym because it was raining so hard today and played Capture the ball. The way you play is each team has a ball and you have to try to go to the other team and take their ball. But when you are in the circle you cannot be tagged. When you have the ball you can either run to the middle with the ball without being tagged and that is 1 point or you can throw the ball to your team and someone has to catch it and that is 2 points. If your teammate doesn’t catch it then you are out. You are also out if you are tagged. You are allowed to rescue people from jail by running to that person without being tagged and walking back together to the middle. You can only rescue one person at a time.

Today at St. Mark’s I had science and art. In science I made a parachute. WE went upstairs and dropped our parachutes from way up high. Then we went outside and did an experiment. So we did something where you get a tablet and when it is your groups turn you put the tablet inside the water put the cap on and hear that snap, turn it over, and stand back. There were four groups with four people. One group had 5 milometers of water. On group had 10 milometers of water. One group had 15 milometers of water and one group had 20 milometers of water. Tristans went so high and he got first place. Alex got second place. His went so high. Jack got third. His was higher than everybody elses except Alex’s and Tristan’s. In art we put our sculptures up. I did make dinosaurs and a nest but we couldn’t find them so Mrs. Davis said she will look for them.

Today is Sunday. My baseball practice is cancled. Mommy said it’s probably cancled because many of my teammates have a football game and some of my teammates have to go to church. Once on a Sunday we had Sunday practice and it was so cold and not many of my teammates were there. Yesterday I had a baseball game and we won 10 to 1. I tried to hit a double or a triple or a home run but I didn’t. Once in the game I caught a ground ball and then I looked at second base and first base and runners were already on those bases so I just threw it to pitcher. When I was on defense I was third base defense man two times. Today I have a summer birthday party. We will be playing a game called Broomball I will need my hand, elbow, and knee pads for the game also I will need my helmet. Mommy will talk to Sioux and Willies mom for a playdate. Mommy said that maybe they can come over, have a little swim in the pool, and maybe even watch the Hobbit together. I meant they can come over at they same time so it will be three friends spending time together.

Today is the weekend. I am staying home. Daddy said that on Monday through Thursday we can do just our regular home homework and schoolwork which is math, writing, reading, and piano. On the weekend he said that we can just do the weekend work which is drawing, piano, reading, and writing. On Friday we can just do reading and writing. I think he probably chose that since reading and writing is weekend work and home homework and Friday is right before the weekend but it’s still a school day. I have a baseball game today at 11:00. I hope we win. So far only Sioux, Akash, and Willie can only hit home runs. But that is just so far. Maybe one day I will hit a home run. Our whole team is Adam, Sioux, Willie, Akash, Nathan, Blake, Lee, Dillan, Abel, William, and me. The last game we had we won 11 to 5. What! Yep, it’s true. At first the other team was winning but then we caught up by all of those home runs.

Today at St. Mark’s I had science and music and drama. In science we made a parachute. There were a lot of steps to the parachute. I did not get to finish because there were so many steps. My partner was Austin. Mr. Dillon switched partners. For math we did a math mystery my partners were Austin and Sioux. At the end Austin left. The math mystery was called Earth Day The Case of the Litterbug. In music and drama we did a rehearsal with just a little bit of the costumes again. It was the same just like last time except the bags were moved in the Science Lecture Hall because there was something going on in Mrs. Massey drama room. In PE we ran 1 lap, went in through the lions gate, and played Pinball for the freeday Friday game. We played Pinball two times. Both times both teams had 1 pin left at the end. On the second round, both teams had 1 pin left during the begining. I don’t think we got to finish the second round.

Today at St. Mark’s I had computer. So in social studies we watched a Cliburn in the Classroom show so Mrs. Brooms class didn’t get to do computer so we got to do whatever we wanted on the ipad. I did Prodigy. You’re only allowed to do Prodigy if Mrs. Whitaker says so. In the first language arts we went to Mrs. Brooms classroom and Hills dad told us what it is to be a pilot because I think he was and still is a pilot. For recess since it was raining, we did indoor recess. I did Chesskid on the ipad and did magne tiles with Benjamin. In PE we did not run. Instead we went to the new gym, jump roped, and played sharks and minos. In sharks and minos I did not die. We did not get to finish the game because there was not enough time so me and some other friends stayed. I think the round ends when there are three or less people left in the game. But when we ended it there were around 12 kids left. I do not remember.

Today at St. Mark’s I had art and music and drama. In art since I finished glazing all my fish and my dinosaur nests and all that stuff, I got to draw a dinosaur. My picture looked more like a cat but I tried my best to make a triceratops. In music and drama we practiced our rehearsal but instead we used costumes. not all of the costumes. Just the tails and the hats with no horns or stuff like that on it. Each song had a different hat except I think Dinosaur Rock. In PE we ran a mile and I beat my previous time. Last time my time was 11 something. This time my time was 9:23. I improved much better. I got two minutes every time I finished a lap. One lap in the mile it was three minutes for a lap. I am still working on contractions. I did another one of those things where you cut out the flaps and the rectangle and the rest to that kind of thing.
